Apichatpong Weerasethakul

Simultaneously tactile and elusive, the films of Apichatpong Weerasethakul paradoxically combine the rhythm of dreams with the weight of lived experience. His unique imaginative worlds gracefully communicate the power and mystery of cinema. In the spirit of his films, our interview is in two interrelated parts, both connected to the rooms that follow. Room 2 focuses on the oneiric aspects and spaces of Apichatpong's films and installations while Room 3 explores the influences, elements, and ideas that have shaped his creative universe.
